The Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders at the Fondazione Ca’ Granda General Hospital of Milan is part of the Neurosciences and Mental Health Department.

The Center provides care for patients with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders both through special clinics (3300-3500 patients examined each year) and through hospitalization in the Neurology ward (25 beds, 5 dedicated to patients with movement disorders) for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes such as advanced therapies and emergency management.

The Center collaborates with Italian and international sites on several research projects including clinical trials as well as studies of genetics and cellular models of movement disorders, especially Parkinson’s disease, multiple system atrophy and dystonias.
