First Operating Meeting of the Fresco Network for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders

The first operating meeting of the Fresco Network for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, created by the Fresco Institute Italia, was held on Tuesday, March 21st at the Genoa Conference Center. The themes of the meeting were the Parkinson’s Outcomes Project and clinical research.

The Fresco Network comprises the following centers: Genoa: the Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders DINOGMI Università di Genova IRCCS San Martino IST (Prof. G. Abbruzzese); Milan: Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico di Milano (Dr. A. Di Fonzo); Gravedona ed Uniti (Como): Department of Neurorehabilitation, Ospedale Moriggia-Pelascini (Dr. G. Frazzitta); Vicenza: Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders, Casa di Cura “Villa Margherita” (Dr. D. Volpe); Perugia: Neurology Clinic, Ospedale Santa Maria della Misericordia (Prof. P. Calabresi); and Pisa: Neurology Unit, Parkinson’s Center, Az. Ospedaliero Universitaria (Prof. U. Bonuccelli).

The meeting sought to assess the results that the centers belonging to the Network have achieved in the first year since the founding of the Istituto Fresco Italia, the sister institute in Italy of the Fresco Institute at New York University, Langone Medical Center.
