Last week, we had the privilege of participating in the 2026 World Summit on Parkinson’s Disease in Florence, Italy, hosted by the Parkinson’s Foundation in collaboration with our Fresco Parkinson Institute. This was the second summit dedicated to advancing global collaboration and action on Parkinson’s disease.
Global leaders in movement disorders, public health, advocacy, research, nonprofit organizations, industry, and the Parkinson’s community from five continents and fourteen countries came together with a shared vision: elevating Parkinson’s disease as a global public health priority.
The conversations were inspiring, the collaboration was powerful, and the commitment to improving the lives of people living with Parkinson’s disease and their families was evident throughout the Summit. The diversity of perspectives enriched every discussion and highlighted meaningful opportunities to drive lasting impact around the world.
We are proud of our partnership with Parkinson’s Foundation, whose dedication to advancing Parkinson’s care, education, advocacy, and research continue to make a significant difference locally and globally.
The future of Parkinson’s care will be shaped by partnership, innovation, and collective action. Gatherings like this remind us of what is possible when organizations and communities unite around a common purpose. We left the summit energized, hopeful, and committed to continuing this important work alongside our partners and colleagues worldwide.
Together, we can create a brighter future for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their families globally.
