Live demonstrations, videos and an interactive instruction (hands-on workshops) will be used to discuss practical exercises and treatment plans, aimed at implementing this approach in the different stages of the disease.
Targets
In this course, 4 objectives coexist:
- Provide skills and methodology in planning rehabilitation treatment;
- Combining the skills learned with a new perspective: it is not just the application of techniques but the importance of empathy in dealing with them;
- Explain the importance of movement as it is an essential pillar to maintain the quality of life of a person with Parkinson’s disease;
- Learn about the rehabilitation approach founded by Becky Farley
Post Graduate Course
This in-depth course offers a method for Parkinson’s rehabilitation using specific techniques. The course demonstrates that it is possible to help people through physiotherapy, in order to maximize their potential and quality of life using precise methods targeted to the needs of the individual.
