Parkinson’s Disease is a degenerative neurological disease with an expected increase in the near future. Medical therapies with rehabilitation are providing evidence showing improvement in symptoms and quality of life for patients afflicted with this disease. Minimal attention is directed to family members and people who live with their loved ones suffering from this disease.
The quality of life therefore depends on the training of caregivers by providing them with the tools for proper management of their loved ones.
Parkinson’s Disease is a complex disease and therefore the training will have to be multidisciplinary in order to be able to manage the multiple aspects and related problems.
For this reason the mission of the Fresco Academy is to provide multidisciplinary training to the family members for the correct management of their loved ones at home and in everyday life.
